Snyder Manufacturing Inc., is an American manufacturer of high-performance laminated fabrics, PVC-coated mesh, extruded films and military-specification materials. We provide standard and custom solutions to commercial, industrial and government customers across a variety of industries.

We are seeking a driven, self-motivated Territory Sales Manager to maintain and grow existing accounts while developing new business throughout the Central and Northeast United States. This is a hands-on sales and account-management position for someone who takes initiative, develops strong customer relationships and consistently follows opportunities through to completion.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage and grow relationships with assigned customers.
  • Prospect for and develop new commercial and industrial business.
  • Achieve established revenue, gross-margin and account-growth goals.
  • Identify customer applications and recommend appropriate standard or custom material solutions.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations, samples, trials, and new product opportunities.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and complete, timely CRM records.
  • Visit customers, conduct business reviews, and attend trade shows.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and potential growth markets.
  • Collaborate with customer service, production, quality, and R&D to meet customer commitments.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, account updates, and market information.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Based at Snyder Manufacturing’s facility in Dover, Ohio
  • Work from the Dover office when not traveling.
  • Approximately 25%-40% travel, generally one to two weeks per month.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of successful B2B sales or account-management experience.
  • Experience selling technical, industrial, or manufactured products is strongly preferred.
  • Plastics, textiles, coated fabrics, chemicals, building products, or related manufacturing experience is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated success meeting sales goals and developing profitable customer relationships.
  • Strong CRM proficiency and disciplined follow-through are required.
  • Strong prospecting, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Buyer/Material Planner to join our manufacturing team. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the timely procurement and availability of materials required to fulfill production schedules and customer demand. This role manages inventory levels, coordinates with suppliers, analyzes demand, places purchase orders, and supports efficient operations while controlling costs.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Plan and purchase raw materials, components, and supplies to support production requirements
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production or operations teams
  • Create, release, and manage purchase orders in the ERP/MRP system.
  • Participate in planning and implementation of DelmiaWorks.
  • Track supplier deliveries and expedite orders as needed to meet production schedules.
  • Maintain accurate planning parameters, lead times, safety stock levels, and item master data.
  • Analyze demand forecasts and production schedules to determine purchasing requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to improve delivery performance, quality, and pricing.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors
  • Resolve supplier issues involving quality, quantity, pricing, or delivery discrepancies.
  • Participate in inventory cycle counts and support annual physical inventories.
  • Prepare reports related to purchasing activities, inventory, and supplier performance.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
  • Assist with supplier performance evaluations and audits
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understand gross margin targets.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of sourcing strategies and contract management.
  • Cost savings and cost avoidance.
  • Inventory optimization.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of purchasing, material planning, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Industry experience in plastics or textiles preferred.
