Snyder Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cost Accountant to join our team. They will be responsible for planning, analyzing, and controlling costs within the organization. This role ensures accurate cost reporting, supports budgeting processes, and helps management make informed financial decisions to improve profitability and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills, experience with various financial software systems, and a keen eye for detail to drive informed decision-making and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
-Analyze production costs and prepare regular cost reports
-Monitor standard costs and investigate variances (material, labor, overhead)
-Perform inventory reconciliations and cycle count reporting
-Perform standard cost updates and cost roll processes
-Review, verify, and process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
-Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
-Perform month-end closing activities
-Track and process employee expense reimbursements
-Process Union employee payroll bi-weekly including verify employee hours, overtime, shift premiums, and benefit deductions for accuracy
-Assist in answering main phone line and routing calls as necessary
-Other duties as assigned

Experience
-Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
-Proven experience in cost accounting or a similar role
-Strong understanding of accounting principles and cost structures
-Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
-Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred
-Knowledge of Trial Balance and Financial Statements
-Experience with ERP, accounting, and payroll software preferred
