Full-time; 3rd shift; starting wage: $26.26/hr; $2.00/hr afternoon and midnight shift differential

The Maintenance Helper supports the maintenance team by performing basic repair and maintenance tasks, cleaning, and organizing tools and supplies. They assist in maintaining machinery, mechanical equipment, and the overall facility to ensure everything operates safely and efficiently. This role typically works under the supervision of a maintenance technician or maintenance manager. The intent of a maintenance helper position is to learn the skills needed to develop into a maintenance technician position.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in routine inspections and preventive maintenance of machinery, equipment, and systems.
  • Carry and transport tools, materials, and equipment to job sites.
  • Clean and organize workspaces, machinery, and tools after completing maintenance tasks.
  • Support in setting up and dismantling equipment or machinery as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining records of maintenance tasks and repairs performed.
  • Other duties as assigned to help meet company goals.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems
  • Knowledge of tools commonly used in maintenance setting
  • Willingness to learn industrial maintenance
  • Mechanically inclined
